Good Friday

Yesterday at Holy Thursday Mass, the priest at my parish in his homily talked about the Gospel and how Jesus washed His disciples feet. After doing so, Jesus asked them this question "Do you realize what I have done for you?"  That question really struck me, especially since today is Good Friday, the day upon which we remember and honor the death of our Lord on the cross. I thought to myself, do I really understand and realize what He did for me? After watching The Passion Of The Christ, a Good Friday tradition in our family, I realized again just what happened today. The fact that we can call it Good Friday is so amazing! And it is good, because without today, we would not be able to get to heaven. Jesus wanted to give us life, because He loves us. He died so that we could be with Him forever. He has done EVERYTHING for us, and we can definitely call it a good day!
