Truly Thankful

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for:  My parents, who are the most loving and awesome parents ever!  For my three brothers who keep me in line and give me all the love I need :)  For my three little nephews (one on the way!) for being the joy of my life!  My sister, who is the best thing the Lord could have given me! For my five brothers and sisters in heaven who constantly look out for me! My Grandparents, who are my inspiration!  My friends, who are the best friends in the whole wide world!  And for a great and merciful God who has blessed me with all of these amazing people! God is so good to me! I love you all and wish you a great Thanksgiving! God bless.

Love And Pop Stars

All woman have that deep down desire to be wanted and loved.  Below are a few disheartening quotes from some of our biggest female pop "idols" in today's world.  It makes me so sad to watch these young women as they try to find love in all the wrong places and just end up ruining their own lives!  In today's culture love has been reduced to romance and romance has been reduced to sex.  I mean watch any chick-flick movie and there will be at least one scene you have to skip.  I was reading some of these's "idols" quotes, and I could see that underneath all the makeup and big smiles they are really just as broken as all of us girls are! They long for love and the thing is they will NEVER be satisfied until they realize that Jesus is the only thing that can fill that longing.  Now you might scoff at that but that is the truth!  There is a big hole in all of our hearts that only God can fill!  We may try to fill it with other things but only God can truly bring satisfaction! If I met any of these girls below and could say anything, this is what I would say, "You are made in His image and He delights in you! He can give you more love and attention than anyone else in the world! You are the apple of His eye! He loves you so much He even died for you!"  Every girl on the planet needs to know this! And if they do already know this they need to tell themselves again!  You are WORTH waiting for!  You are even worth dying for!  As a sister in Christ I ask you just this one thing, please don't EVER forget this!!!!  Your purity is worth it!  You are worth it!  Don't settle for some messed up dude who is just using you, because I promise you if you keep your eyes locked with Jesus', He will supply you with all the love you need and when it is time, He will bring the man He wants you to have into your life.  Stay strong my sisters! Greater things are yet to come! Love you all :)
