Truly Thankful

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for:  My parents, who are the most loving and awesome parents ever!  For my three brothers who keep me in line and give me all the love I need :)  For my three little nephews (one on the way!) for being the joy of my life!  My sister, who is the best thing the Lord could have given me! For my five brothers and sisters in heaven who constantly look out for me! My Grandparents, who are my inspiration!  My friends, who are the best friends in the whole wide world!  And for a great and merciful God who has blessed me with all of these amazing people! Love And Pop Stars

All woman have that deep down desire to be wanted and loved.  Below are a few disheartening quotes from some of our biggest female pop "idols" in today's world.  It makes me so sad to watch these young women as they try to find love in all the wrong places and just end up ruining their own lives!  In today's culture love has been reduced to romance and romance has been reduced to sex.  I mean watch any chick-flick movie and there will be at least one scene you have to skip.  I was reading some of these's "idols" quotes, and I could see that underneath all the makeup and big smiles they are really just as broken as all of us girls are! They long for love and the thing is they will NEVER be satisfied until they realize that Jesus is the only thing that can fill that longing.  Now you might scoff at that but that is the truth!  There is a big hole in all of our hearts that only God can fill!  We may try to fill it with other things but only God can truly bring satisfaction! If I met any of these girls below and could say anything, this is what I would say, "You are made in His image and He delights in you! He can give you more love and attention than anyone else in the world! You are the apple of His eye! He loves you so much He even died for you!"  Every girl on the planet needs to know this! And if they do already know this they need to tell themselves again!  You are WORTH waiting for!  You are even worth dying for!  As a sister in Christ I ask you just this one thing, please don't EVER forget this!!!!  Your purity is worth it!  You are worth it!  Don't settle for some messed up dude who is just using you, because I promise you if you keep your eyes locked with Jesus', He will supply you with all the love you need and when it is time, He will bring the man He wants you to have into your life.  Stay strong my sisters! Greater things are yet to come! Love you all :)

Gotta Love This Weather

I don't know why, but fall is just my favorite season! The weather is always amazing, yet very tiring!!!!  I will say now though.....that I do love sunshine :)

So Daniel's team is now settled and doing stuff in St Louis, MO! They posted on NET's blog yesterday and put up some pictures of them under "The Arch" :) Here they are!

School....And Some Other Stuff

I am very, very, very sorry for not writing for like 9 days!!!!! I think that might be a record for me :) School has now officially started and I'm a sophomore. Scary :)  It has been fun so far! Some subjects are a little harder then others......chemistry, I will beat you yet!!!!!!!!!  :)  Homeschool band has also started and I realized that I have been playing the clarinet for 5 years!! That's just crazy :)  Other then that my life is pretty chill :)  Oh, Daniel is now in St. Louis so if you could pray for him and his team that would be awesome!  I don't think life can ever get old!!! You just got to live it! And love it :)

A Catch Up On Daniel!

Hi everybody! I am so sorry I haven't blogged in a while! We have been really busy!  Well, here is the scoop on Daniel so far.  A few days after we dropped him off at the NET center, he and all the netters went up to a camp in Wisconsin called Camp Wapo for two weeks.  There they spent time training, praying, playing, going to mass, and listening to people give talks.  On this past Friday night they had a live stream so us family could watch the teams getting announced!  Daniel is the team leader for Team 10, which is a parish team in St. Louis, Missouri!  I am so proud of him :)  We actually got to see him yesterday!  He had free time from 12:00 pm-6:00 pm, so went and picked him up, along with one of his buddies, and hung out!  It was so good to see him! He really has changed alot!  Not in his personality but the way he speaks and the way he treats other people!  It is really cool to see :)  Anyway, Daniel said to say hi to all of you and that he's praying for you!  They did put up pictures of the teams, so here's Daniels team! Go Team 10!!!!!

To Glenwood Then Back!

I just got back from the Catholic Answers retreat in Glenwood, MN! There where 6 talks, including the participation of these 3 AMAZING priests: Fr. Tom Knoblach, Fr. Matthew Crane, and Fr. Mike Schmitz! I think my brain is about to explode :)

Daniel's Off To NET!

I am about to head off to the cities with my family to drop Daniel off for NET! We are going to go to 12 o'clock mass at the Cathedral of St Paul and then go out to Snuffy's with my grandparents (Snuffy's is a malt and burger place that my grandma loves :)).  Afterward we will be dropping Daniel off and he is going to be gone till December 18.  Please keep him in your prayers!

A Movie Review, Based On My Opinion :)

This movie recently came out on DVD and I love it!!! It's called 42 and it's AWESOME!!! The movie is about Jackie Robinson and him being the first black player ever to play in major league baseball.    I do want to warn you though if you watch this movie with your younger children that there are some parts where the movie really shows racism at it's best.  This includes death threats, swearing, and some crude comments.  But these things are all there to show what Jackie had to go through.  It is a very powerful film and has a very good message to it!

A Post From The Lake

Hi Guys!  I just found out my Dad has a a computer that has Wi-Fi! I was like "I have to blog" :) As I am typing this I am looking out at the beautiful lake we are staying at!  The white caps are pretty big :)  Anywho, the Nephews have just arrived and we are having a great time!  Yesterday Dad, Daniel, Will, and I watched Captain America and it was amazing as usual!  If you have not seen it, you need to :) Well we are about to eat a lunch of soup and sandwiches so I have to scram :) Hopefully write soon!

Computers Crashing, Soccer, And Vacation, Oh My!

So our family computer crashed like five or six days ago and it was sad :)  Also, I scored my first goal EVER in competitive soccer yesterday!!!!! Actually I did score a goal earlier in the in season but it was on my own goal :)  And now we are about to leave to go on vacation!!!!  We are going up to a friend's cabin!! I am excited, and that kinda has to do with my Dad letting me drive the pontoon :)  Well, I will write when I get back and share with you all the embarrassing pictures and stories :)  God bless!

A Wonderful Ending To A Wonderful Day

Today was one of those busy days! I served at 10:30 mass this morning, which was a First Communion. Then at 2:00 pm, I went  to my friend's Confirmation and to the after party/reception. After which I went to her house with a bunch of my friends and hung out till like 9 o'clock. Mom and Dad then picked me up and we went to DQ where a few people were celebrating Will's last choir concert with YCCM. I just got home! Whew! I am worn out :) What a great day! Thank you Jesus for such wonderful friends :) Anywho, goodnight!!
